Core Clinical Partners is seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Director to lead our Hospital Medicine program at Regional Medical Center (RMC) Anniston, a regional referral hospital serving northeast Alabama. This is a full-time, W-2 employed leadership role with both clinical and administrative responsibilities, overseeing a stable and tenured hospitalist team that has provided consistent care to the community for many years.
As Medical Director, you will play a key role in program leadership, physician engagement, and collaboration with hospital administration, while maintaining a clinical presence to support quality patient care. RMC Anniston benefits from integrated management of both Emergency Medicine and Hospital Medicine by Core Clinical Partners, ensuring alignment and strong cross-departmental collaboration.
Position Overview
- Leadership: Provide oversight, mentorship, and scheduling guidance for a team of day hospitalists, nocturnists, and APPs.
- Clinical: Balance of clinical shifts and protected administrative time.
- Scheduling: Standard 7-on/7-off model, with flexibility in administrative coverage.
- Engagement: Partner closely with Core and hospital leadership to maintain program stability, quality metrics, and clinician satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Work in tandem with Emergency Medicine leadership to ensure coordinated patient care.

Qualifications
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Prior hospital medicine leadership experience required
- Eligible for Alabama medical licensure
- Comfort with procedures during night coverage and ability to support nocturnist team
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, collaborate with administration, and drive quality outcomes
