Norton Community Hospital is a 129 acute care facility. The facility offers an array of primary care and specialty services while the laboratory offers extensive services, including hematology, serology, microbiology, and inpatient and outpatient pharmacies. The emergency department offers modern technology and private, comfortable rooms.

Norton, Virginia offers a diverse economy and an excellent educational system along with several colleges, museums, and libraries located throughout Wise County. Residents enjoy the beauty and an array of activities for outdoor enthusiasts including hiking, biking, hunting and fishing.
Job Details
- 87 Acute Care Beds (incl. 9 adj. beds ICU/PCU)
- Closed ICU, 7-8 ICU beds and Step Down
- Codes/Rapid Response handled by ED physicians
- EMR: Epic
- No required procedures
- GME programs
- 12-hour shift, (7a-7p, 7p-7a)
- 7 on/7off schedule
- Days: 2 MDs
- Nights: 1 MD on call (primary focus: on-call support for residents)
- Board Eligible or Certified in Internal or Family Medicine
- Be within 7 years of graduation
- Or 2 years prior hospitalist experience
- Board Certified as Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
- 2 years prior hospitalist experience
- H1b/J1 sponsorship
