Required Skills:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid licensure to practice in Missouri
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Proven experience in obstetric hospitalist duties
- Ability to handle OB triage, gyn emergencies, and deliveries
- Proficiency in EMR systems, specifically Meditech Expanse
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of patient encounters (13+ per day)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with hospital-employed Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) and Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs)
- Prior exposure to on-call and emergency call coverage
- Familiarity with hospital policies and procedures in a busy clinical setting
- Additional certifications such as neonatal resuscitation (NRP) or advanced life support
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- At least 2 years of obstetric hospitalist experience
- Prior work in a hospital setting with high patient throughput
- Experience using Meditech Expanse EMR system
Other Requirements:
- Availability for 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
- Must hold or be eligible for Missouri medical licensure
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties and telephonic consultations
- Travel and licensure-related reimbursements when applicable
