Locum - Physician - OB Hospitalist Austin, TX

Are you a dedicated Obstetrician-Hospitalist seeking a flexible, high-impact opportunity to provide exceptional patient care? Join us as a Locum Physician specializing in OB Hospitalist services, where your expertise will directly support quality maternal and neonatal outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment. This position offers a rewarding chance to work weekends in the vibrant city of Austin, TX, delivering vital services to diverse patient populations while enjoying competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Required Skills:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid state medical license to practice in Texas
  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
  • Proven experience in obstetric care and hospital-based delivery management
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to respond calmly and effectively to obstetric emergencies

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Previous experience as a locum or covering hospitalist shifts
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Advanced training in high-risk obstetrics or maternal-fetal medicine
  • Spanish language proficiency or other bilingual skills

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of OB hospitalist experience
  • Prior work in busy hospital settings with a diverse patient demographic
  • Participation in quality improvement initiatives related to obstetric care

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to work weekends starting December 31, 2025
  • Willingness to travel, if required, with reimbursements provided
  • Must maintain all necessary licensure, certifications, and compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Clear background check and credentialing processes
