Required Skills:
- Board-certified or eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) or Family Medicine with OB specialization
- Active California medical license, or ability to obtain one promptly
- Excellent clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital setting
- Up-to-date knowledge of OB protocols, procedures, and emergency obstetric practices
- Strong professionalism and commitment to patient-centered care
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous hospitalist or locum tenens experience
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Minimum of 2+ years ofOB hospitalist or inpatient OB/GYN experience in a hospital setting
- Current ACLS, NRP certification preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must hold or be eligible for a California medical license
- Ability to travel to Bakersfield, CA, if not local
- Commitment to accommodating variable shift schedules, including nights and weekends
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
