Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality obstetric care during assigned shifts
- Collaborate with hospital staff to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
- Manage labor and delivery processes, including emergent situations
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols
Required Skills:
- Valid medical license in Texas
- Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Proven experience in obstetric medicine, including labor and delivery
- Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and handle high-pressure situations
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience as a hospitalist or in a similar inpatient obstetric setting
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual abilities to assist a diverse patient population
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of obstetrics experience in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
- Availability to start on 12/31/2025
- Willingness to work 12-hour shifts, primarily on weekends
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP preferred
- Travel and licensure expenses reimbursed as applicable
