Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality obstetric care to inpatient women, ensuring safety and compassion
  • Collaborate seamlessly with nursing staff and hospital teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
  • Manage labor and delivery support, including emergent situations when necessary
  • Document patient interactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with hospital protocols

Required Skills:
  • Active and unrestricted medical license in Texas
  • Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Proven experience in obstetrics, with strong skills in labor and delivery management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in hospital-based obstetric care in a locum or emergency setting
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • BLS/ACLS certification
  • Spanish language proficiency

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent obstetric practice experience
  • Prior locum or hospitalist experience preferred but not mandatory

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work 24-hour shifts, primarily on weekends
  • Availability to start on 12/31/2025
  • Willing to travel and stay on-site as required
  • Compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements, including certifications and licenses

Compensation:
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $195.00
  • Shift Length: 24 hours
  • Shift Availability: Weekends
