Position: Perm - Physician - Hospitalist - OB
Location: Athens, OH (55 Hospital Drive, Athens, OH 45701)

Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist (OB-GYN) to join our expanding hospitalist team in Athens, Ohio. This role offers an excellent opportunity to participate in a collaborative, patient-centered OB hospitalist program dedicated to delivering high-quality obstetric and gynecologic care within a supportive community environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive OB inpatient care, including triage, admissions, and deliveries, in collaboration with hospital staff and community OBs.
  • Manage obstetric and gynecologic emergencies efficiently, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Participate in a multidisciplinary OB critical care team, contributing to quality improvement initiatives and best practice protocols.
  • Maintain continuous communication with outpatient physicians regarding triage visits, new obstetric issues, and delivery updates.
  • Ensure safety, continuity of care, and adherence to clinical guidelines to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Provide management for OB/GYN emergency department patients, offering timely and effective intervention.

Work Schedule:
  • 24-hour shifts with flexible scheduling options to promote work-life balance.
  • Coverage includes obstetric and gynecologic emergencies, with a focus on efficient patient management.

Qualifications:
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Demonstrated experience in inpatient obstetric and gynecologic care; new graduates are not eligible.
  • Commitment to collaborative practice and patient safety.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Additional Requirements:
  • Not accepting locum, visa candidates, commuters, or secondary employment candidates.
  • Prior experience in OB hospitalist settings preferred.
