ā¢ We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Palliative Care Physician (MD/DO) to join a well-established outpatient clinic in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
ā¢ The physician will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care focused on improving quality of life for patients with serious or chronic illnesses.
ā¢ This role emphasizes symptom management, care coordination, and support for patients and their families in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Job Responsibilities
ā¢ Conduct patient evaluations, goals-of-care discussions, and advance care planning
ā¢ Develop individualized care plans focused on comfort, quality of life, and patient preferences
ā¢ Manage complex chronic and life-limiting conditions
ā¢ Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams
ā¢ Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families
ā¢ Educate patients and caregivers on disease progression and treatment options
ā¢ Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Qualifications
ā¢ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Palliative Care, Hospice & Palliative Medicine, or Internal Medicine with palliative experience
ā¢ Completion of accredited residency training; fellowship in Palliative Care preferred
ā¢ Active or eligible Oregon medical license
ā¢ DEA certification or eligibility
Working Hours
ā¢ Monday ā Friday outpatient clinic schedule
ā¢ Day shift with a supportive interdisciplinary team
Skills
ā¢ Excellent communication and end-of-life counseling abilities
ā¢ Ability to handle sensitive discussions with empathy and professionalism
ā¢ Team-oriented approach to interdisciplinary care
ā¢ Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
