• We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Palliative Care Physician (MD/DO) to join a well-established outpatient clinic in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
• The physician will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care focused on improving quality of life for patients with serious or chronic illnesses.
• This role emphasizes symptom management, care coordination, and support for patients and their families in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive palliative care services including pain and symptom management
• Conduct patient evaluations, goals-of-care discussions, and advance care planning
• Develop individualized care plans focused on comfort, quality of life, and patient preferences
• Manage complex chronic and life-limiting conditions
• Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families
• Educate patients and caregivers on disease progression and treatment options
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Palliative Care, Hospice & Palliative Medicine, or Internal Medicine with palliative experience
• Completion of accredited residency training; fellowship in Palliative Care preferred
• Active or eligible Oregon medical license
• DEA certification or eligibility

Working Hours

• Full-time permanent position
• Monday – Friday outpatient clinic schedule
• Day shift with a supportive interdisciplinary team

Skills

• Strong clinical skills in pain and symptom management
• Excellent communication and end-of-life counseling abilities
• Ability to handle sensitive discussions with empathy and professionalism
• Team-oriented approach to interdisciplinary care
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR)
