Job description
Full-time locum tenens opportunity for a Hematology/Oncology physician at an acute care hospital oncology practice in Northampton, MA, with a possible locum-to-perm pathway. Four clinic days per week plus one admin day.
- Practice of 5 MDs with 1 assigned nurse and APP support
- Approx. 8 patient encounters per week, including 2-3 new patients
- Broad scope: solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, bleeding and clotting disorders, anemia and iron management
- Epic charting; adult patient population
- August start ideal; emergency privileges being pursued
Job Responsibilities
• See existing patients plus 2-3 new patients; approx. 8 patient encounters per week
• Manage bleeding/clotting disorders, anemia, chemo/immunotherapy, iron management, oral and hormonal agents, solid tumors and hematologic malignancies
• Weeknight call about 1 night per week; 1:6 weekend call
Qualifications
• Active Massachusetts license required (unable to license)
• 2 years of experience; Epic experience required
• ACLS, BLS and DEA required
• Full-time provider only
