Job description
Full-time locum tenens opportunity for a Hematology/Oncology physician at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital in Ephrata, PA. Ongoing need with a minimum 6-month commitment.
- Rural community setting with an established patient panel and onsite radiation oncology
- 14-chair infusion center plus 2-bed infusion room with oncology-certified nursing
- Support includes 1.3 Hem/Onc physicians onsite, 3 APPs and onsite pharmacist
- Participation in disease-specific and general tumor boards
- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
• See approximately 15 patients per day (about 60% hematology / 40% oncology): solid tumor, benign and malignant hematology
• Oversee a 14-chair infusion center with oncology-certified nursing and onsite radiation oncology
• Take inpatient and phone call rotation 1:2 (consulting service only; hospitalists manage admissions)
Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience; Epic EMR
• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC LOQ in hand
• DEA required
