Job description
Aya Healthcare is seeking a full-time Hematology/Oncology physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment (minimum 6-month commitment) at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital in Ephrata, PA.
• Rural community setting with an established patient panel; approximately 15 adult patients per day (60% hematology / 40% oncology)
• 14-chair infusion center plus a 2-bed infusion room; oncology-certified nursing; radiation oncology on site
• Team includes 1.3 Hem/Onc physicians, 3 APPs and on-site pharmacist support; tumor board participation
• Consult-only service (hospitalists manage admissions); Epic EMR
• Call 1:2: weeknights 4:15P-8A and 2 weekends per month (24-hour coverage)

Job Responsibilities
• Treat solid tumor oncology, benign hematology and malignant hematology
• Oversee infusion and treatment in the 14-chair infusion center
• Provide inpatient consults and phone/inpatient call coverage (1:2)
• Participate in disease-specific and general tumor boards
Qualifications
• 1 year of experience minimum
• Active PA license or IMLC required (willing to license)
• DEA required
• Epic experience preferred
