Locum Hematology/Oncology Physician | Greensboro, NC | Weekdays | Flexible Coverage

Med Ninjas is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for an outpatient locum tenens assignment in Greensboro, North Carolina. This opportunity offers a weekday schedule, flexible coverage of two to three weeks per month, strong clinical support, and minimal shared call.

Assignment Highlights

• Start date: January 18, 2027
• Contract length: Approximately 34 weeks
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Coverage: Two to three weeks per month
• Outpatient practice setting
• Approximately 15–18 adult patients per day
• Typical daily mix includes:
  • One to two new patients
  • Approximately two benign hematology patients
• Minimal call shared among a group of nine providers
• Call may overlap with scheduled weekday coverage or include mutually agreed weekend coverage
• EMR: Epic
• Travel assistance available

Clinical Focus

The physician should have experience managing:

• Prostate cancer
• Kidney cancer
• Bladder cancer
• Benign hematology conditions
• General hematology and oncology patients

Clinical Support

The physician will work with an established support team that includes:

• Advanced practice providers
• Pharmacists
• Nursing staff

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology
• Minimum of two years of recent experience
• Active North Carolina medical license preferred
• Physicians using the IMLC pathway may be considered with a Letter of Qualification in hand
• Active DEA required
• Controlled Substance Registration required
• Epic experience required
• Clean professional background required
• Must meet the facility’s vaccination requirements
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 60–90 days
