Job description
Practice oncology the way you always envisioned—with time to connect with patients, a collaborative multidisciplinary team, and the clinical autonomy to guide personalized care.
Client is seeking a compassionate, board-certified or board-eligible Hematologist/Medical Oncologist to provide and lead outpatient cancer care within an integrative medicine setting.
This is an opportunity to deliver evidence-based, conventional oncology care while collaborating with nutritionists and integrative health practitioners to support patients throughout their treatment journey. The practice emphasizes comprehensive cancer care, symptom management, treatment tolerance, survivorship, and long-term quality of life.
For nearly 30 years, Client has been dedicated to integrative healthcare, serving patients with cancer and complex chronic conditions. Its philosophy centers on treating the whole person—not just the diagnosis—by combining conventional medical care with evidence-informed supportive therapies and personalized wellness strategies.
We are looking for a physician who shares a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care and is interested in contributing to a collaborative approach to oncology.
Job Responsibilities
Develop individualized treatment and care plans grounded in established oncology standards and tailored to each patient's diagnosis, clinical needs, and treatment goals.
Collaborate with nutritionists and integrative health practitioners to coordinate supportive care addressing nutrition, symptom management, treatment-related side effects, and overall well-being.
Integrate appropriate, evidence-informed complementary and supportive therapies into patient care when clinically indicated, without compromising established standards of cancer treatment.
Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment options, potential side effects, supportive care strategies, and survivorship planning.
Monitor treatment response, manage treatment-related complications within the scope of practice, and coordinate referrals or specialty care as needed.
Promote shared decision-making and empower patients to make informed decisions about their treatment and long-term health.
Stay current with advances in hematology, oncology, integrative medicine, and supportive cancer care to continually enhance clinical practice.
Qualifications
Active, unrestricted medical license.
Board certification or board eligibility in Hematology and Medical Oncology, consistent with applicable credentialing requirements.
Strong clinical judgment and a commitment to evidence-based oncology practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with patients, families, and multidisciplinary colleagues.
A compassionate, patient-centered approach and a commitment to comprehensive, whole-person care.
Willingness to collaborate across disciplines and incorporate appropriate supportive care strategies into oncology practice.
Skills
Additional education, training, or certification in integrative medicine, functional medicine, or lifestyle medicine.
Experience in an integrative oncology, outpatient cancer care, or multidisciplinary clinical setting.
Knowledge of nutrition, lifestyle interventions, symptom management, and supportive therapies relevant to cancer care.
A demonstrated interest in advancing patient-centered, integrative approaches alongside conventional oncology treatment.
