Job description
Aya Healthcare is seeking a full-time Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens assignment (with locum-to-perm opportunity) at an established community hospital oncology practice in Northampton, MA.
- Established adult hematology/oncology practice with 5 physicians, an assigned nurse, and APP support
- Four clinic days plus one admin day each week
- Weeknight call about once per week and weekend call about every 6 weeks
- Epic charting system
- Continuity of care needed during the permanent physician recruitment
Job Responsibilities
• Manage routine follow-ups, new patients, abnormal labs, treatment plans, bleeding/clotting disorders, anemia, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and iron management
• Treat solid tumor and hematologic malignancies; work with 5 MDs, 1 assigned nurse, and APP support
• Weeknight call (about 1 night/week) and weekend call about every 6 weeks
Qualifications
• Massachusetts license required
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA required
• Minimum 2 years of experience; Epic experience required
• Full-time provider only
