Locums – Greensboro, North Carolina | Hematology/Oncology Opportunity

Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Hematologist/Oncologist for a 34-week locums opportunity in Greensboro, North Carolina. This is an outpatient role with a strong focus on genitourinary Oncology and benign Hematology. IMLC candidates with a Letter of Qualification in hand are accepted.

Assignment Details

• Start date: January 18, 2027

• Contract length: 34 weeks

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Five 8-hour shifts

• Coverage needed approximately 2–3 weeks per month

• Minimal call

• Call may overlap with scheduled weekdays/nights or agreed-upon weekend coverage

• Current call pool includes 9 providers sharing 24-hour and night call

Position Highlights

• 100% outpatient Hematology/Oncology

• Approximately 15–18 patients per day

• Approximately 1–2 new patients per day

• Approximately 2 benign Hematology patients per day

• Adult patient population

• Strong APP, pharmacy, and nursing support

• IMLC accepted

• Long-term locums assignment

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage outpatient Hematology/Oncology patients

• Provide care for both new and established patients

• Manage benign Hematology cases

• Provide Oncology care with a primary focus on genitourinary malignancies

• Participate in limited call coverage as scheduled

• Collaborate with APPs, pharmacists, and nursing staff

• Complete routine outpatient clinical documentation

• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology required

• Active North Carolina medical license or IMLC pathway accepted

• IMLC candidates must have Letter of Qualification in hand

• CSR required

• DEA required

• Minimum 2 years of experience required

• Mandatory vaccination requirements

• Clean background required

Credentialing

• Approximately 60–90 days

• Willing to license through IMLC only

• IMLC Letter of Qualification must be in hand

• Clean credentialing background required

Organization & Team

• Outpatient Hematology/Oncology practice

• 9 providers currently share call responsibilities

• Collaborative APP, pharmacist, and nursing support

• Primary clinical emphasis on genitourinary Oncology and benign Hematology
