A hospital cancer center in the Burlington, North Carolina area needs a full-time hematologist/oncologist for a 26 week assignment starting December 31, 2026. $500 an hour, no call, with travel and expenses covered. This is a full-time role only: 4 days a week, and 3 to 4 weeks a month.

Job Responsibilities

Adult hematology and oncology in an inpatient cancer center unit of a 238-bed hospital, about 15 to 25 patients a day. You see new patients and follow-ups, write orders and prescriptions, and work directly with the pharmacy. The practice leans toward benign hematology, alongside bread and butter hem/onc. Epic EMR.

Qualifications

Board certified in hematology/oncology. An active North Carolina license, or an IMLC letter of qualification in hand. DEA. A clean background. Credentialing takes 60 to 90 days, so apply early.

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, 4 days a week. Full time only, committing to 3 to 4 weeks a month. No call.
