The Division of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine is seeking outstanding physicians to join our growing academic faculty. We are recruiting board-certified or board-eligible medical oncologists and hematologists across multiple disease-focused programs, including:

  • Leukemia
  • Lymphoma
  • Multiple Myeloma
  • Sarcoma
  • Breast Oncology
  • Classical (Benign) Hematology

These positions offer the opportunity to practice within a nationally recognized academic medical center while contributing to innovative clinical care, research, education, and multidisciplinary program development.

Position Highlights

Depending on specialty and interests, responsibilities may include:

  • Providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care within a disease-focused practice
  • Participating in multidisciplinary tumor boards and specialty conferences
  • Engaging in clinical research and clinical trial development
  • Mentoring trainees and contributing to educational initiatives
  • Collaborating with basic science and translational investigators
  • Supporting the continued growth of nationally recognized cancer programs

Candidate Qualifications

  • MD, DO, or equivalent degree
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology, Hematology, or Hematology/Oncology
  • Eligible for medical licensure in Virginia
  • Commitment to excellence in patient care, scholarship, and education
  • Interest in academic medicine and multidisciplinary collaboration
