A growing community-based oncology practice is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to join a collaborative team dedicated to providing exceptional cancer and blood disorder care. This opportunity offers a combination of outpatient oncology and hematology services, infusion oversight, inpatient consultations, and multidisciplinary collaboration within a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Prescribe and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, hormonal therapies, and supportive care treatments.
• Provide oversight of infusion services and monitor treatment response, toxicity, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiation oncologists, hospitalists, primary care providers, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Provide hospital consultations, rounding, and shared call coverage.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical record documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with clinical standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Required

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine Residency and Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
• Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain.
• DEA registration or eligibility.
• Strong clinical judgment and commitment to patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred

• Community oncology experience.
• Experience with chemotherapy and infusion services.
• Interest in clinical research and multidisciplinary care.
