Medical Director - Hematologist-Oncologist

This role combines hands-on clinical practice with site medical director responsibilities, offering the chance to help shape a comprehensive, accredited cancer program from a leadership seat.

What You'll Do:

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and longitudinal management of patients with malignant and benign hematologic/oncologic disorders
• Prescribe and oversee systemic therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards alongside surgery, radiation oncology, pathology, and supportive care teams
• Serve as physician leader for the local hematology-oncology program
• Oversee provider engagement, workflow optimization, and care coordination
• Support recruitment, mentoring, and professional development of oncology providers
• Monitor performance metrics around access, quality, safety, and patient experience
• Represent the program at regional Cancer Service Line leadership meetings
• Partner with hospital and administrative leadership on strategic and operational priorities

What You'll Bring:

• MD with active NY medical license
• Board certified in Medical Oncology; board certified or eligible in Hematology
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in Medical Oncology/Hematology post-fellowship
• Prior leadership experience (site director, medical director, or similar) strongly preferred
