Med Ninjas is seeking a Hematology Oncology Physician for long term permanent coverage at a inpatient/outpatient facility located in Grand Rapids, Michigan
The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from Open Start Date
This assignment includes outpatient clinic, onsite hospital coverage, full-spectrum hematology and oncology patient care, and call coverage on weekends and holidays.

Permanent Hematology Oncology Physician
Shift: Days; vast majority clinic time with inpatient rounding and infusion supervision
Start Date: Open
End Date: Permanent

Position Details:
Patient Population: Hematology and oncology patients, including new patient referrals, active treatment, and follow-up care
Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
Responsibilities: Full-spectrum hematology and oncology patient care, inpatient rounding, infusion supervision, multidisciplinary collaboration, and coordinated patient care across two facilities
Required Procedures: Hematology/oncology patient care and inpatient rounding
Support Staff: Advanced Practice Providers, infusion services, care management, social work, nurse navigation, nurse triage, research and clinical trials, laboratory, pharmacy, genetics and financial counseling
Days Per Month: Full-time
On-Call/Weekends: Weekend and holiday call coverage

Required Procedures and Skills

• Full-spectrum hematology and oncology patient care
• New patient referrals
• Active treatment and follow-up care
• Inpatient rounding
• Infusion supervision
• Multidisciplinary oncology collaboration
• Coordination with radiation oncology, neuro oncology, surgical oncology, gynecologic oncology, breast, thoracic, and colorectal surgery
• Patient care across two facilities

Requirements

• Fellowship-trained – REQUIRED
• Board Certified or Board Eligible; must be board certified within 2 years of eligibility – REQUIRED
• Michigan license or willing to obtain – REQUIRED
• Copy of most recent NPDB Report within 30–60 days – REQUIRED
• DEA or willing to obtain – REQUIRED
• BLS and ACLS or willing to obtain – REQUIRED
• H1B visa candidates accepted
