Med Ninjas is seeking a Hematology Oncologist for long term locum tenens coverage at a inpatient facility in Waterloo, Iowa
The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from TBD to ongoing

Position Type: Locum Tenens

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 0800-1630; 16 shifts per month
Start Date: TBD
End Date: Ongoing
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adults, 18 years and older
Setting: Hospital Based / Clinic
Responsibilities: Consults, follow-up care, oversight of antineoplastic administration in clinic, and occasional inpatient consultations
Required Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies, antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: 2 APPs; 2 nurses per provider; referral and triage nurses; reception, lab, social worker, referrals, and dietician
Days Per Month: 16 shifts per month; minimum 2 weeks per month
On-Call/Weekends: Potentially one week and one weekend per month; phone calls only; one weekend per month
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology; Oncology board certification with strong Hem/Onc experience may also be considered
- Active Iowa License or Active IMLC with LOQ
- Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology
- Clean Malpractice/Background with recent NPDB Self-Query
