Palm Beach County, Florida, Inpatient Medical Oncology Physician Opportunity
A well-established cancer program in Palm Beach County is seeking a full-time Inpatient Medical Oncologist to join its collaborative and growing oncology team. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician who enjoys hospital-based oncology care, multidisciplinary collaboration, and managing complex solid-tumor patients in an inpatient setting.
Work alongside experienced medical oncologists and advanced practice providers to provide high-quality, patient-centered care for patients with cancer-related admissions and acute oncologic needs.
Position Highlights
Full-time, hospital-based inpatient medical oncology position
Manage an average daily inpatient hematology-oncology census of approximately 25 patients
Provide oncology consultations and ongoing inpatient management for patients with non-hematologic malignancies
Evaluate and manage acute complications of cancer and cancer-directed therapies
Develop and implement interdisciplinary treatment plans involving systemic therapies and supportive-care needs
Collaborate closely with fellow oncologists, advanced practice providers, hospitalists, palliative-care providers, surgeons, radiation oncologists, nursing staff, and other clinical team members
Shared call structure among approximately 16–18 physicians, averaging 1:6 call
Call coverage is limited to one hospital site
Report to the Medical Director of Medical Oncology

Candidate Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Medical Oncology through the American Board of Internal Medicine
Active, unrestricted Florida medical license, or eligibility to obtain Florida licensure before the start date
Completion of all required credentialing, privileging, background-screening, and due-diligence requirements
Prior inpatient medical oncology or hospital-based oncology consultation experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage complex acute issues in patients with solid tumors
Experience developing comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer treatment plans
Strong communication, clinical judgment, professionalism, and team-collaboration skills
