Bon Secours Cancer Institute at Memorial Regional Medical Center is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Hematologist/Oncologist to join our growing and highly collaborative cancer program. This is an excellent opportunity to step into an established practice with a strong referral base while helping expand access to comprehensive oncology and hematology services throughout the community.
Position Highlights
• Full-time, 1.0 FTE
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Average patient volume of approximately 22 patients per day
• Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding responsibilities
• Shared evening and weekend call rotation of 1:9
• Adult patient population (18+)
• Practice located on the campus of Memorial Regional Medical Center
• Telemedicine, inpatient rounding, and consult opportunities available

Ideal Candidate
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology
• Eligible for and able to obtain an unrestricted Virginia medical license
• Strong clinical skills and commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
• Interest in collaborating across disciplines and participating in program growth initiatives
• Dedicated to enhancing access, community outreach, and relationships with referring providers
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive hematology and medical oncology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies and develop treatment plans
• Collaborate with specialists and multidisciplinary care teams
• Participate in call coverage as part of the physician group rotation
• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses and treatment options
• Support quality initiatives and the continued growth of oncology services throughout the region
