Outstanding Radiation Oncology position with a Cancer Institute in Normal, Illinois with opportunity for Academic Appointment.
Highlights:
- This role is part of a vertically integrated regional health system with multiple hospitals, a multi?specialty physician group, its own health plan, and a nationally recognized engineering?based medical school. The system supports robust cancer care, advanced radiation therapy, and strong clinical research programs across Central Illinois.
- External beam radiation therapy practice; HDR brachytherapy not required
- New graduates welcome with mentorship available
- Work alongside 6 Radiation Oncologists serving Urbana, Normal, and Peoria
- Advanced technology including Varian TrueBeam®, micro?MLCs, CT simulator, PET/CT
- External beam options: 3D, IMRT/RapidArc®, SRS, SRT, SBRT
- Active stereotactic radiotherapy program
- EPIC, ARIA, and Eclipse treatment planning systems
- Dedicated team: 2 medical physicists, 1 dosimetrist, 4 radiation therapists, 2 RNs
- Multidisciplinary support including weekly QA conferences and disease?specific tumor boards
