Job description A brand-new Medical Oncology and Hematology practice inside a 131-bed hospital in Lewisburg, PA is opening 9/8/26, and needs a full-time locum physician starting 10/12/2026 through at least 3/8/27, with an option to extend. $500/hour. One employed physician is already on staff, and patient volume starts light at about 10/day with room to grow as the practice ramps up.

Job Responsibilities

See adult oncology and hematology patients in clinic, roughly 60% oncology, 40% hematology. Provide occasional inpatient consults at the hospital when needed. Participate in a 1:2 weeknight and weekend call rotation. Chart in Epic.

Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible in Hematology/Oncology required. Active PA license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required to present, cannot be pending. DEA required. Credentialing runs approximately 90 days.

Working Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm (a 4-day workweek may be considered). Weeknight and weekend call on a 1:2 rotation, 2 hours gratis on 24-hour call days.
