Position Highlights
- Location: Upstate New York
- Start: ASAP as soon as credentialed (~6 weeks with temps)
- Duration: 6+ months, ongoing
- Reason for coverage: Physician leave of absence
- Schedule: Full-time, 4 weeks per month
- Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Patient volume: 15–20 clinic patients per day; ~6 new patients per week
- Scope: Outpatient clinic + inpatient call — 60% Oncology / 40% Hematology
- Duties: New patient visits, follow-ups, treatment planning, chemotherapy, inpatient rounding
- Call: 1:5 weeknight (4:30 PM – 8:30 AM, mostly telephone unless urgent) + 1:5 weekend (24-hour)
- EMR: Epic with Beacon
- Support: 5 Physicians + 5 APPs; PA on inpatient service M–F; onsite Radiation Oncology group
Requirements
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- Breast Oncology experience
- Active New York State license
- Epic experience preferred
