Facility:
This is a Commission on Cancer (COC) accredited Cancer Center that provides comprehensive oncology services to the surrounding community. The facility features an 18-bed chemotherapy suite, dedicated pharmacists who conduct educational starts for chemotherapy, radiation oncology services housed within the same building, weekly tumor boards, and access to clinical trials including Phase 2 and 3 studies.Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and OncologyJob Details:
- Provide hematology and oncology services Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- See approximately 17 patients per shift, with 1-hour appointments for new patients and 20-minute follow-up visits
- Participate in weekend 24-hour call coverage
- Share weekday night call responsibilities with other providers
- Call duties include responding to RN inquiries regarding patients calling in with questions, patients actively receiving chemotherapy, and minimal ED consults
- Work alongside a support team that includes one Medical Assistant and several RNs
- Utilize Mosaic EMR system
- Participate in weekly tumor boards
- Access to clinical trials including Phase 2 and Phase 3 studies
- Board Certified or Board Eligible required
- BLS certification required
- Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
- Nearest airport is El Paso International Airport
