Physician specializing in Hematology/Oncology needed for outpatient services in a hospital setting. The role involves providing all aspects of diagnosis, staging, and treatment of hematology and oncology patients, including precision medicine and symptom management. The physician will oversee both the outpatient clinic and infusion services, requiring onsite presence at the infusion center for administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusions, hormone therapy, and other infusion treatments. The position involves hospital consults and collaboration with ER physicians or hospitalists for admissions. The provider will work independently with supporting midlevel staff, including RNs, MAs, and clerks, to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
Experience with Chemotherapy and Infusion Therapy Procedures
Strong knowledge of cancer diagnosis, staging, and treatment protocols
Ability to manage outpatient hematology/oncology cases independently
California Medical License (active or pending)
DEA Certification for controlled substance prescribing
Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology required
ACLS Certification required if requesting moderate sedation privileges
Working Hours
Weekend shifts start Friday @5pm through Monday ending at 8am.
Weekday shifts are clinic Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) with Night Call Monday-Thursday (5pm-8am)
