An ongoing locum tenens Hematology/Oncology opportunity is available with an acute care hospital system in South-Central Pennsylvania.
This assignment offers a blend of outpatient clinic responsibilities, inpatient consultations, and call coverage across two hospital locations.

The provider will see an average of 15 adult patients per day, with a patient mix of approximately two-thirds oncology and one-third hematology. Typical cases include lung, breast, prostate, and colorectal cancers, along with a variety of community-based hematology and oncology presentations. Some blood cancer patients are referred out for specialized care.
Providers will work alongside an established team that includes an NP and a virtual hematologist, with additional participation in tumor boards and multidisciplinary cancer care.

Job Responsibilities
See adult patients in a clinic setting averaging 15 patients per day
Manage approximately 2 new patients per day, with the remainder consisting of treatment and follow-up visits
Support hospital inpatient and emergency department consultations related to Hematology/Oncology
Respond to secure chats and consultation requests during clinic hours
Participate in hospital call coverage, including night and weekend call
Coordinate care with radiation oncology services and oncology navigators
Supervise urgent patient needs during assigned supervising provider sessions
Participate in tumor board activities
Utilize Nuance dictation systems for documentation
Qualifications
Double board certification preferred
Pennsylvania license preferred
Providers willing to obtain Pennsylvania licensure may be considered
Less experienced physicians will be considered
Medical Oncology physicians who manage hematology cases may be considered
Working Hours
Coverage Needed: Full-time ongoing coverage approved through March 31, 2027
Minimum Availability Accepted: 3 days per week
Clinic Schedule:
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call Coverage:
Night call required
Weekend call required
Call rotation approximately 1 week per month
Call includes both inpatient and phone call responsibilities
Typical call volume: 0-2 calls per day
