Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a locums to perm opportunity, with the client open to a long-term fit for the right provider. Please see below for more information.
- Level II trauma center
- EMR: Cerner, with a transition to Epic planned
- Infusion orders and charting are on paper
- Dual board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology is preferred
Job Responsibilities
Evaluate new consults in 60-minute appointments and manage follow-up visits in 30-minute appointments
Order and oversee infusion therapy
Participate on rotation in a shared business-hours consult service; no after-hours coverage is attached to it
May be asked to round on inpatients at a nearby facility within walking distance
Qualifications
Active Alaska medical license required, in hand
Working Hours
4x10 or 5x10 schedule
Two weeks on, one week off rotation preferred
No call
