Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Providence, Rhode Island. Please see below for more information.
- Acute care hospital
- EMR: Meditech (approximately 80% paper charting, 20% electronic)
Job Responsibilities
Manage an outpatient clinic volume of approximately 18-22 patients
Round daily on inpatients, approximately 1-2 hours based on consult volume
Complete inpatient consults as volume dictates
Perform biopsies as needed
Qualifications
Rhode Island medical license required; client will consider candidates willing to obtain Rhode Island licensure
DEA required
Rhode Island Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) required
Verification of board certification required with submission; verification of Rhode Island license required if currently licensed
Working Hours
Monday-Friday clinic, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Night call, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.
1-2 24-hour weekend call shifts per month, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.
