Locums | Hematology/Oncology | Eureka, CA (CA license) Why This Role

  • Call is phone-only — no onsite callback, 1 week out of every 3
  • Board eligible welcome (within 3-5 years)
  • Expedited privileges for clean files
  • 6+ month need, 2 openings — locums-to-perm potential
Assignment Details Start/end: 10/1, ongoing (6+ months); clean-file candidates can pursue temp privileges for an earlier start; 2-4 weeks/month, or two providers at 2 weeks each Schedule: Clinic M/T/Th/Fr 8am-12pm, W 1pm-5pm (noon hour paid for Tumor Board); weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend call, but phone response ONLY — no onsite callback; on call 1 week out of every 3; 20-30 min response; guaranteed 9 hrs/day Coverage type: Scheduled clinical hours + call, inpatient and outpatient Volume: 12-15 patients/shift Setting: Cancer center attached to the chemo treatment center and hospital; stroke certified; COC-accredited program managing ~500 analytic cases/year Support: 10 RNs, 4 MAs, 3 PA/NPs, 5-6 office staff EMR: Epic Credentialing: 60-90 days; temp privileges available for clean files Clinical Details Required scope: Hematology/oncology clinic and call; attends Tumor Board Call coverage is phone response only — no physical return to the hospital Requirements Board certified or board eligible (within 3-5 years of residency) in Hematology/Oncology License: Active CA required BLS Active DEA Compensation Rate caps apply per facility Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
