Job Responsibilities
• Position: Hematologist/Oncologist
• Salary: $390,000-$400,000

Qualifications
Physician – Hematologist/Oncologist
Salem VA Medical Center - Salem, Virginia.
-Current staffing: 1 Physician, 2 nurse practitioners
-1.0 FTEE , Full-Time position
Practice Environment Description: As a Staff Hematologist/Oncologist you will work directly with outpatient clinic, infusion clinic, inpatient consults. Currently supported by national tele oncology, and it supervises 2 nurse practitioners.
Highlights of this position include:
• Potential starting base salary: $300,000 - $380,000
• Daily schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:45 am – 4:30pm, non-telework eligible, non-remote.
• Additional night and weekend calls are distributed on an equitable basis with the other staff.
• Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery from any U.S. State
Additional requirements:
• Board certified or board eligible and BC/BE Hematology/Oncology.
• Clinical Research and academic opportunities are encouraged.
• Salem VA HCS has affiliations with medical student, PA student and resident training programs. There are opportunities to supervise resident and student trainees.
