About the Opportunity
A prominent healthcare network in the Bronx, NY, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist / Medical Oncologist to join their expanding oncology program. This direct-hire position offers a collaborative, multidisciplinary clinical environment with robust infusion support, access to clinical trials, and an integrated care team focused on providing high-quality, compassionate cancer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, staging, and evidence-based treatment plans for solid tumors and hematologic disorders.
- Manage systemic cancer therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and supportive care protocols.
- Collaborate closely with surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and specialized oncology nursing staff.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain clear, timely, and compliant documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
- Active, unencumbered New York State Medical License (MD or DO).
- Active New York DEA registration and Controlled Substance authority.
- Completion of an accredited Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a strong plus in this community setting.
