OnCall Solutions is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Pennsylvania beginning November 2026.

This is primarily an outpatient clinic position caring for an adult Hem/Onc population, with occasional inpatient and ER consultation support. The practice offers an established support team, infusion services, and a manageable average volume of approximately 15 patients per day.

Full-time coverage is preferred; however, physicians who can consistently provide at least 3 days per week may be considered. Physicians utilizing the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) may also be considered.

Job Responsibilities

Provide outpatient Hematology/Oncology care to adult patients
Evaluate and manage patients with common solid tumors, including breast, lung, prostate, and colorectal cancers
Diagnose and manage a variety of hematologic conditions and select hematologic malignancies
Manage established patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IVIG, IV iron, and other infusion therapies
Conduct new patient consultations, pre-treatment visits, and established follow-up appointments
Provide Hem/Onc consultation and patient-care guidance to the hospital and Emergency Department as needed
Participate in a rotating night and weekend call schedule
Coordinate patient care with Radiation Oncology and other specialists
Participate in tumor board discussions
Collaborate with the onsite NP, nursing staff, infusion team, and other clinical support staff
Serve as a supervising physician for designated clinical sessions
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Provide approximately 15 patient visits per day in the outpatient setting

Qualifications

MD or DO with completion of an accredited Hematology/Oncology fellowship
Board Certification in both Hematology and Medical Oncology preferred
Active Pennsylvania medical license preferred
Physicians utilizing the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) with appropriate eligibility/LOQ may be considered
Comfortable treating an adult-only Hematology/Oncology population
Experience managing both Oncology and Hematology patients
Comfortable providing occasional inpatient and Emergency Department consultations
Ability to participate in night and weekend call rotation
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Ability to meet facility credentialing and compliance requirements
Clean and timely credentialing file strongly preferred
Availability for full-time coverage preferred, although consistent availability of at least 3 days per week may be considered

Working Hours

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Average of approximately 15 patients per day
Approximately 2 new patients per day, with remaining visits consisting of treatment and follow-up patients
Full-time ongoing coverage preferred
Minimum availability of 3 days per week may be considered
Inpatient/ER consultation support may occasionally be needed before or after clinic
Night and weekend call coverage available/required as part of the rotation
Call rotation is approximately 1 week per month
Typical call volume is approximately 0–2 calls per day

Coverage is currently anticipated from November 2026 through March 2027, with extensive weekday coverage needs throughout this period.
