Job description
A Hem/Onc physician is needed for full-time coverage in a Providence-based department with a steady outpatient practice and manageable inpatient responsibilities. The service sees approximately 18–22 outpatient patients per day, while inpatient rounding generally takes 1–2 hours daily, depending on consult volume.
Schedule highlights:
- Monday–Friday clinic, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Night call from 5:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m.
- One to two 24-hour weekend call shifts per month
- Biopsies as needed
- Approximately 80% paper-based workflow and 20% Meditech
- Start date in late September
- Temporary privileges may allow for an earlier start
This is a strong fit for a Board-Certified Hem/Onc physician looking for consistent full-time coverage without a heavily inpatient-driven schedule.
Rhode Island licensure is preferred, but the client will wait for the RI medical license, DEA, and CSR.
