Job description
We are seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a locum tenens position in Ephrata, Pennsylvania. This is a rural community practice with an established patient panel, combining outpatient clinic and inpatient consult coverage. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
• Manage a case mix of approximately 60 percent hematology and 40 percent oncology
• See an average of 15 patients per day
• Treat solid tumor oncology, benign hematology, and malignant hematology
• Direct treatment within a 14-chair infusion center and 2-bed infusion room supported by oncology-certified nursing staff
• Provide inpatient coverage on a consulting basis; hospitalists manage admissions
• Cover emergency department and hospital team calls
• Participate in disease-specific and general tumor boards
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers and onsite pharmacist support
• Provide weeknight and weekend call coverage, including weekend rounding
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC
• DEA
Working Hours
Clinic begins at 8:00 AM with first patient at 8:15–8:30 AM and last patient at 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch
Weeknight call 4:15 PM – 8:00 AM, approximately 10 nights per month
Weekend call two weekends per month, 24-hour coverage with rounding Saturday and Sunday
Call rotation 1:2
Full-time coverage with a minimum six-month commitment
