Job description
We are seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a locum tenens position in Northampton, Massachusetts. This is a locums to perm opportunity combining outpatient clinic and call coverage. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
• Manage a panel of established patients and see 2 to 3 new patients per week, totaling approximately 8 patient encounters weekly
• Conduct new patient visits, routine follow-ups, and treatment plan development
• Manage laboratory results, including work-up of abnormal labs
• Treat patients with bleeding and clotting disorders and anemia
• Administer and manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oral chemotherapy, and hormonal agents
• Manage oral and infusible iron therapy
• Manage solid tumor and hematologic malignancies across breast, head and neck, GI, GU, GYN, neuro, thoracic, and hepatobiliary sites
• Treat an adult patient population
• Collaborate with an assigned nurse and advanced practice provider support
• Provide weeknight and weekend call coverage, including call-back response
Qualifications
• Active Massachusetts medical license
• DEA
• BLS
• ACLS
Working Hours
Four clinical days per week plus one administrative day
Weeknight call 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM, approximately one night per week
Weekend call 4:30 PM Friday – 8:00 AM Monday, approximately 1:6
Full-time coverage only
