Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum tenens Hematology/Oncology physician in Ephrata, PA. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital with an established patient panel.
- Full-time, ongoing need (minimum 6-month commitment)
- 5 clinic days per week, 8-hour day shifts (clinic starts 8:00 AM, last patient 3:30 PM)
- Adult Hematology & Oncology in a rural community setting; ~15 patients/day (60% Hematology / 40% Oncology)
- 14-chair infusion center and onsite Radiation Oncology
- Support: 1.3 Hem/Onc physicians onsite, 3 APPs, onsite pharmacist
- EMR: EPIC; Practice setting: Clinic + Hospital
Job Responsibilities
• See approximately 15 patients per day (solid tumor oncology, benign and malignant hematology)
• Provide inpatient and phone call coverage (consulting service only): weekend coverage 2 weekends/month, night call 10 days/month, 1:2 rotation
• Participate in disease-specific and general tumor boards
Qualifications
• Active PA license or IMLC in hand required to present
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year experience required
Working Hours
Assignment Length: Ongoing - minimum 6-month commitment
Full-time, 5 clinic days per week, 8-hour day shifts. Call: 2 weekends/month and night call 10 days/month (1:2 rotation), inpatient + phone coverage.
