Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist/Oncologist for a locum tenens position with Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, Minnesota. This is a medical oncology role with flexible PRN scheduling and shared night/weekend coverage. Please see below for more information.
- Practice setting: hospital-based medical oncology
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a - 5:00p; will consider 2 twelve-hour shifts or 3 ten-hour shifts per week (PRN)
- Coverage: Doc of the Day night/weekend coverage on a rotation
- Support staff: NP/PA
- Volume: approximately 14-16 patients per day
- EMR: Epic
- Contract length: approximately 1 year
- Credentialing timeframe: 45-60 days; will license a non-MN provider
Job Responsibilities
Manage approximately 14-16 patients per day.
Participate in Doc of the Day night/weekend coverage on a rotation.
Work alongside NP/PA support staff and document in Epic EMR.
Qualifications
Clinic experience with oncology and hematology patients.
Active Minnesota license required; will license a non-MN provider.
BLS required.
