Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician (double board certified strongly preferred) for a locum tenens position in Anchorage, Alaska. This is a locums-to-perm opportunity. Please see below for more information.
- Facility: Alaska Native Medical Center (Acute Care Hospital)
- Level II Trauma Center
- Day shift, 10 hours (7:30a - 4:30p); 4x10s or 5x10s; 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation preferred
- No call
- Volume: 12-13 patients per day (1 hr new consults, 30 min follow-ups)
- Cerner EMR (transitioning to Epic in the future)
- Start date: September 14, 2026
- Assignment length: 20 weeks
Job Responsibilities
• Manage infusion patients (paper orders/charts)
• Participate in "Doc of the day" rotational business-hours consults
• Possible rounding at a nearby hospital (walking distance)
• Chart in Cerner EMR
Qualifications
• Active Alaska medical license required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• CV, NPDB self-query report, 3 references, and a progress note sample required upon submission
