Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. This is a full-time opportunity supporting a new Medical Oncology and Hematology practice. Please see below for more information.
- 131-bed acute care hospital (WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital)
- New community-based Medical Oncology & Hematology practice
- Clinic located inside the hospital
- Epic EMR
- Case mix approximately 40% Hematology / 60% Oncology
- Adult patients only (18+); approximately 10 patients per day, expected to grow
Job Responsibilities
• Manage an adult patient panel (18+), approximately 10 patients per day
• Perform inpatient consults at the hospital as needed
• Participate in weeknight and weekend call (1:2)
• Collaborate with the practice care team (RN, MA, navigator, and support staff)
Qualifications
• Active PA license or IMLC/LOQ required to present
• DEA required
• Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
