Assignment Details
Start Date: October 1, 2026; potential September start
End Date: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–5:00 PM
Coverage Type: Inpatient and outpatient clinic + call
Call: Weeknight and 24-hour weekend beeper call, approximately 1:3 weeks
After-Hours Coverage: Phone response only; no onsite callback
Patient Volume: 12–15 per shift
Setting: Hospital-affiliated oncology clinic and infusion center
Support: 10 RNs, 4 MAs, 3 APPs, and 5–6 office staff
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: 60–90 days
Clinical Details
General hematology and oncology clinic coverage
Inpatient and outpatient hematology/oncology care
Participation in an accredited oncology program
Current inpatient clinical activity required for hospital privileges
No APP or resident supervision required
Requirements
Board Certified or recently Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
Active California medical license
Hematology/Oncology fellowship training
BLS certification
Active DEA
Two years of current inpatient case logs
