St. Bernards Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist to join our growing oncology program serving Northeast Arkansas.

This is a unique opportunity to enjoy a 100% outpatient practice with no call and no weekend responsibilities while caring for patients in two well-established regional oncology clinics. Supported by a robust team of Advanced Practice Providers, dedicated infusion centers, and a strong referral network, you'll have the resources you need to focus on delivering exceptional cancer care while maintaining an outstanding work-life balance.

Practice within a physician-led, not-for-profit health system serving more than 700,000 residents across Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri.

Regional Outreach Practice

Provide care through two established oncology clinics:

  • 3 days per week in Mississippi County
  • 2 days per week in Cross County
  • Established outpatient oncology practices
  • Immediate patient volume
  • Efficient clinic operations with experienced support teams

Comprehensive Oncology Support

Practice with exceptional clinical resources including:

  • Fully operational infusion centers at both clinic locations
  • On-site pharmacy services for chemotherapy preparation and medication management
  • Dedicated oncology nursing teams
  • Robust APP support:
    • Nine APPs supporting the Jonesboro Cancer Center
    • Two dedicated APPs assigned specifically to this position (one at each outreach clinic)
  • Hospitalist coverage for all inpatient care
  • Teleconsultation support when needed
  • Access to system-wide oncology resources and multidisciplinary cancer care

Job Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology and oncology care for adult patients with both malignant and benign hematologic disorders.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapies and multidisciplinary care approaches.
- Practice in two established regional oncology clinics, providing care three days per week in Mississippi County and two days per week in Cross County.
- Collaborate closely with experienced Advanced Practice Providers, dedicated oncology nurses, pharmacists, and infusion center staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered cancer care.
- Utilize fully operational on-site infusion centers and pharmacy services to provide efficient chemotherapy administration and medication management.
- Partner with Primary Care physicians and specialists throughout the St. Bernards Healthcare network to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Focus exclusively on outpatient oncology care while Hospitalists manage all inpatient admissions and consultations, allowing you to maintain an excellent work-life balance.
- Participate in multidisciplinary tumor conferences and quality improvement initiatives to support exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referring providers throughout a regional service area serving more than 700,000 residents.
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record.
