Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Saint Louis, MO. This opportunity provides comprehensive hematologic and oncologic care across both outpatient clinic and inpatient settings. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Order and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, and growth factor support
Perform bone marrow biopsies and aspirations
Manage oncologic emergencies including tumor lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, and neutropenic fever
Treat solid tumor malignancies including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, head and neck, and melanoma/other skin cancers
Manage hematologic conditions including sickle cell anemia, coagulopathies, and benign hematology
Oversee blood transfusions and supportive care
Coordinate genetic testing and counseling
Supervise advanced practice providers (APPs)
Qualifications
Active Missouri medical license (IMLC accepted)
DEA registration
Missouri BNDD (state controlled substance registration)
BLS and ACLS certification
Epic proficiency (required for charting)
Working Hours
Monday: 8a-12p in clinic, rounding afterward
Tuesday: rounding in AM only
Wednesday: rounding in AM; 12p-6p in clinic
Thursday: 8a-12p, rounding afterward
Friday: 8a-4p in clinic
