Job description
We are seeking a Hematology and Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Saint Louis, MO. This is a clinic and inpatient rounding opportunity treating both solid tumor malignancies and hematologic conditions. Please see below for more information.
EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Manage hematologic conditions including sickle cell anemia, coagulopathies, and benign hematology
Direct treatment oversight including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, blood transfusions, and growth factor support
Enter and supervise chemotherapy orders
Perform bone marrow biopsies and aspirations
Manage oncologic emergencies including tumor lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, and neutropenic fever
Coordinate genetic testing and counseling
Supervise advanced practice providers
Qualifications
Active Missouri medical license (IMLC accepted)
DEA registration
Missouri BNDD (state controlled substance registration)
BLS
ACLS
Working Hours
Monday: 8a–12p in clinic, rounding afterward
Tuesday: Off from clinic, rounding in AM only
Wednesday: Rounding in AM; 12p–6p in clinic
Thursday: 8a–12p, rounding afterward
Friday: 8a–4p in clinic
