Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is an outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding opportunity for an adult patient population. Please see below for more information.
- EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
- Manage solid tumor malignancies including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, head and neck, and melanoma/other skin cancers
- Manage hematologic conditions including sickle cell anemia, coagulopathies, and benign hematology
- Oversee treatment regimens including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, blood transfusions, and growth factor support
- Provide chemotherapy supervision and ordering
- Perform bone marrow biopsies and aspirations
- Manage oncologic emergencies including tumor lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, and neutropenic fever
- Coordinate genetic testing and counseling
Qualifications
- Active Missouri medical license; IMLC accepted
Working Hours
- Tuesday: rounding in AM only
- Wednesday: rounding in AM; 12:00p–6:00p clinic
- Thursday: 8:00a–12:00p clinic, rounding afterward
- Friday: 8:00a–4:00p clinic
- No call
