We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Saint Louis, MO. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Manage treatment oversight including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, blood transfusions, and growth factor support
Perform bone marrow biopsies and aspirations
Provide chemotherapy supervision and order management
Manage oncologic emergencies including tumor lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, and neutropenic fever
Coordinate genetic testing and counseling
Treat solid tumor malignancies including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, head and neck, melanoma, and other skin cancers
Manage hematologic conditions including sickle cell anemia, coagulopathies, and benign hematology
Supervise advanced practice providers (APPs)
Qualifications
Active Missouri state medical license (IMLC Accepted)
DEA required
Missouri BNDD (CSR) required
BLS required
ACLS required
Working Hours
Monday: 8a–12p in clinic, rounding afterward
Tuesday: Rounding in AM only
Wednesday: Rounding in AM; 12p–6p in clinic
Thursday: 8a–12p, rounding afterward
Friday: 8a–4p in clinic
No call required
