Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a full-time locum tenens position in Ephrata, PA. This is a comprehensive opportunity to provide adult hematology and oncology consultation services with a mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient consultations. The physician will work in a consulting capacity with hospitalists managing patient admissions. The facility features an onsite infusion center and supports multidisciplinary tumor board participation. The facility utilizes Epic EMR. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage solid tumor oncology cases
• Manage benign and malignant hematology cases
• Oversee outpatient infusion center care and chemotherapy management
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board reviews
Qualifications
• State Medical License: Pennsylvania (IMLC accepted)
• DEA Registration
• Epic EMR proficiency (required)
Working Hours
Outpatient Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Patient load: approximately 15 patients per day
• Case mix: 60% Hematology, 40% Oncology
Weekend On-Call: 2 weekends per month (24-hour coverage, Saturday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM)
• Includes 2 hours of non-compensated rounding on Saturday and Sunday
Night On-Call: 10 days per month, 4:15 PM – 8:00 AM
• Call rotation: 1 day on, 2 days off
• Coverage: Emergency room and hospital hematology/oncology needs
